The TECO Energy Internship & Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students the opportunity for professional growth while meeting the business needs of the company. The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study.
Position Summary/Details:
This position supports the Customer Experience Research and Strategy departments. This role will support qualitative and quantitative research studies to understand and measure customer satisfaction, identify customer behaviors and preferences, and develop raw data into actionable insights to improve the customer experience and business strategy. Customer Experience Strategy involves developing and implementing strategic planning frameworks, mapping and analyzing customer journeys to enhance user experience, and designing Power BI dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with teams to improve both customer and employee experiences.
Accountabilities:
- General research tasks – i.e. assist with participant recruitment, data input, collecting data (qualitative and quantitative), etc.
- Qualtrics platform – develop survey questions, build survey instruments, create dashboards, analyze data, etc.
- General strategy tasks – assist with journey mapping initiatives, data input and monitoring, etc.
- Power BI and Power App – build dashboards, data visualizations, applications, etc.
Physical Location of Co-op: 702 N Franklin Street, Tampa, FL 33602
Working Conditions: Mostly in a normal office environment
Preferred Availability: Part – Time (20-30 hours)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
The successful applicant should be enrolled in an ABET accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
Co-Op Requirements:
- To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
Required Degree: Communications, Social Sciences, Psychology, Business, Public Health or Statistics
Year in School: No preference
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
- Qualtrics (preferred)
- Statistical software (preferred)
- Power BI (preferred)
