Assistant/Associate Professor – Inpatient Service

Description

The Department of Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine seeks a psychiatrist to serve on the Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital (YNHPH) Inpatient Service.

Yale-New Haven Hospital is the major teaching and clinical research facility of the Yale University School of Medicine and consistently ranks among the best hospitals in the United States. Yale-New Haven Hospital encompasses the Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital a 118 bed, acute care, psychiatric facility that consists of five main inpatient programs and several specialized step-down intensive outpatient/day hospital programs for adolescents and adults across two hospital campus.

The position is as an attending physician for our inpatient units, which are a main teaching site for Yale Psychiatry Residency. 

This position carries a faculty appointment within the Department of Psychiatry at the assistant or associate professor level depending upon the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

The successful candidates will have completed a residency in psychiatry leading to board eligibility or board certification and are licensed (or licensed eligible) within the State of Connecticut.
