Student work schedules are based around their existing class schedule, and accommodations are made for finals week.

As a permanent sub, you will be trained to work in McAlister's, The Landing, Timbers Grill, Qdoba, and Starbucks. Your primary responsibility will be to pick up empty shifts and step in where help is needed to keep operations running smoothly. Permanent subs are expected to pick up a minimum of three shifts each week, including at least one weekend shift three of every four weekends.

Required Qualifications

1. Ability and willingness to complete required training, including Food Handler/Sanitation, Ethics, and Crime reporting within 30 days of employment
2. Must be able to take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
3. Must be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population.
4. Must have strong weekend and evening availability.
5. Ability to manage and keep track of a varying schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous food service experience, or relevant hospitality or customer service experience.
2. As a customer service driven department, attendance and timeliness are imperative.
3. Ability to take initiative, adapt quickly, and assist operations with minimal supervision.

Work Hours

Employees are expected to work a minimum of three shifts each week and must work at least one weekend shift three out of every four weekends. Weekends are defined as Friday night, Saturdays, and/or Sundays.

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
-Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
-Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
