About the role
POSITION SUMMARYThe temporary Marketing Coordinator will report to the Director of Marketing. This person will work closely with each individual of the Marketing team and various stakeholders to help coordinate, organize, develop, and support marketing initiatives that improve our members’ experience and reach business goals.Key responsibilities will include coordinating marketing projects, managing/supporting requests from other teams within the organization and other various tasks to support the organization’s strategic goals and mission. Other opportunities include supporting social media marketing, writing copy, campaign/creative ideation and more. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate marketing projects by identifying, organizing, and assembling requirements, developing assignments and schedules for internal teams and outside vendors.
- Sales, Financial Empowerment Center (branch), and community marketing support by working directly with teams to help drive new member relationships, building current member relationships and community awareness/perception through support materials and initiatives.
- Internal communication of campaign deliverables, objectives and timelines to internal teams while providing instructions for promotion or use.
- Social media marketing support for corporate social media pages and community-led social media pages (Community Leads and Mortgage Field Lenders) to help promote MCU brand and mission.
- Campaign/creative ideation for future marketing initiatives to help drive new, innovative ideas and concepts that support the brand and business goals.
- Copywriting for marketing projects that do not involve support from MCU’s current advertising and marketing agency; this may include copywriting for social media posts, flyers, postcards, emails and more.
- At least one (1) year of prior marketing experience.
- Ability to effectively manage and coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Displays empathy for both external stakeholders (members) as well as internal stakeholders (various MCU teams)
- Dedicated to improving the financial lives of our members.
- Is curious and values learning; is a self-motivated problem solver.
- Has experience using social media to promote a brand and its mission, products/services.
- Passion for various marketing functions (advertising, member research/insights, data analytics, media, strategic thinking, etc.).
