Clinical Technician 2 – Float Pool with Inova Fairfax Medical Campus

Shift: Days

Schedule:  Part-time Two12hr shifts a week. Rotating Weekends

Training Schedule: Candidate must be able to attend required six week training orientation upon hire

Job Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)

• Provides direct care to patients (under direct supervision of registered nurse) whose care requirements are routine and standardized
• Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
• Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
• Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
• Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families. 
• Preceptor for all new Clinical Technicians

 

Requirements:

• Experience: One year of experience in an acute care setting as a clinical technician or successful completion of one acute care clinical rotation in an Accredited RN Program and/or two years of nursing school completed
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association)
• Training: Candidate must be able to attend six week training orientation upon hire
• Special Skills: Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required
