Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Milan, IL, you will:

 

  • Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems;
  • Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications;
  • Analyze assignments and determines software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives;
  • Execute necessary documentation, as directed, or needed;
  • Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs;
  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation;
  • and mentor junior software engineers on the team.

 

What Skills You Need

 

  • 5 years of experience in COBOL, JCL, mainframes and PL/SQL to execute design, development, maintenance and enhancement of applications needed for service parts procurement to support aftermarket and customer support
  • 5 years of experience in IBM DB2 IMS DC and Oracle RDMS Database to develop solutions to extract and manage data using PL/SQL and SAS to develop Service Parts Procurement applications
  • 2 years of experience in write SAP ABAP code to enable back-end functionality for the business and use SAP MM Functional Knowledge to make configuration changes
  • 2 years of experience in use ETL tools including Informatica and SAP Data Services to integrate between SAP and other interacting systems of Planning and Warehouse Management
  • 2 years of experience in developments of ODATA services and SAP PI to develop Outbound/Inbound interfaces Between SAP and other interacting systems of Planning and Warehouse Management

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field plus 5 years related experience.
