The Job You Will Perform:
- Maintain a strong focus on safety compliance, hazard recognition/mitigation, and continual improvement.
- Supervise an organization that receives, stores, issues, delivers, and ships inventoried and direct buy items.
- Develop direct reports to provide maximum customer service/support and adhere to all Global Sourcing and storeroom policies and procedures.
- Purchase materials and services from suppliers providing the best value with consideration to quality, price, contracts, reliability, and urgency of need.
- Responsible for maintaining stock items in the required quantity and condition to support operations and maintenance.
- Ensure completion of annual cycle counts per policy.
- Identify and implement initiatives for optimizing storeroom inventory value (approximately $13MM) by working with maintenance, other IP facilities, vendors, and various IP organizations.
- Lead Stores Inventory Optimization Team to support the identification, removal, and cost recovery of excess and obsolete Storeroom inventory.
- Coordinate scrap and surplus materials sales activities. Act as mill Investment Recovery Coordinator.
- Manage Repairable Materials program (Repair & Return), Committed Inventory Program, and Vendor Managed Inventory Program, all as part of optimizing dollars expended in Stores Inventory Value.
- Perform Contract Coordinator activities associated with onsite vendor representatives and occasional contractor work in Storeroom areas.
