The Infrastructure Engineering Senior Manager position serves as the enterprise Virtualization Product Owner with end-to-end accountability for VMware and Nutanix infrastructure platforms across the organization. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for highly available, scalable, and secure virtual infrastructure services supporting critical enterprise and financial workloads.The position leads a high-performing team of onshore and offshore infrastructure engineers responsible for platform engineering, operational support, automation, lifecycle management, and large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives. The Senior Manager drives delivery excellence through agile methodologies, disciplined project execution, and continuous service improvement while promoting automation and infrastructure as code as strategic enablers.
This leader is responsible for virtualization platform strategy, inclusive of capacity management, KPI reporting, operational resiliency, security compliance, and modernization initiatives, including enterprise migrations from VMware to Nutanix AHV. The role partners closely with architecture, cybersecurity, application teams, operations, risk management, audit, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure infrastructure platforms remain resilient, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise technology objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the enterprise Product Owner for VMware and Nutanix virtualization environments with accountability for platform stability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence.
Lead and manage teams of onshore and offshore virtualization engineers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Drive successful delivery of infrastructure programs and projects using agile and iterative delivery methodologies with strong focus on execution, risk management, and operational readiness.
Develop and maintain strategic platform roadmaps focused on automation, self-service capabilities, infrastructure as code, and operational modernization.
Oversee all virtualization infrastructure builds within enterprise data centers, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, resiliency requirements, and operational best practices.
Lead enterprise transformation initiatives, including large-scale migration programs from VMware to Nutanix AHV platforms.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and managed service partners to ensure project milestones, deliverables, and migration schedules are achieved.
Provide executive-level reporting and communications regarding program health, risks, dependencies, financials, and delivery status.
