What you'll be doing
The Technical Program Manager for the Cloud Security Engineering team will be at the intersection of cybersecurity and program management, responsible for leading the execution of complex and large-scale projects. The ideal candidate is deeply technical, with hands-on experience in Cloud Security Operations, Cloud Migration, and Security Engineering. This role demands a dynamic individual who can manage ambitious deadlines while navigating ambiguous requirements, ensuring the seamless delivery of projects that enhance our cloud security capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, complex projects within the Cloud Security Engineering domain, ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including security engineers, software developers, and IT operations, to define project requirements, scope, and objectives
- Utilize hands-on technical expertise to guide project decisions and strategies
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code practices within the team, enhancing the scalability and resilience of our security infrastructure
- Manage project risks and ambiguities, employing problem-solving skills to navigate challenges and ensure project success
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and methodologies to advance our cloud security capabilities
- Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels, providing transparency and fostering informed decision-making
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, ensuring our cloud security strategies remain ahead of potential attackers
Qualifications
What your background looks like
- 8+ years' of experience in the cybersecurity field, with at least 3+ years’ of experience leading large scale engineering programs. This experience should encompass a broad understanding of cloud security, cyber threats, defense mechanisms, and the cybersecurity landscape
- A strong technical background in cybersecurity technologies and methodologies, with a particular focus on cloud security
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role in a cybersecurity or technology-focused environment
- Deep technical expertise in Cloud Security, Container Orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, and Security Operations
- Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes (secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of leading large-scale, complex projects to successful completion
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Well established client-focused communication skills to read, review, investigate, and summarize reports on complex issues, in a manner that can be understood by non-technical readers
- Excellent organizational and attention to details in tracking activities within various Security Operation workflows
- Ability to lead content discussion around system architecture and design and effectively coordinate communications
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP), cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP), or technical domains (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP) are a plus
