POSITION SUMMARY

The Dedicated Operations Director is responsible for serving as the first point of contact for drivers and customers. The Dedicated Operations Manager manages and directs the fleet to ensure profitability and minimize customer service failures. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION

•  Communicate with customers and maintain a high level of customer service.
•  Provide and direct seamless transitions of information to the Customer with clear, concise, and accurate communication to ensure that customer expectations are met.
• Communicate with drivers regarding updates to orders.
• Make decisions regarding and follow-up on issues that may occur.
• Schedule and direct work to ensure that Drivers are optimally utilized and not sitting idle.
• Manage and timely respond to phone calls and messages to ensure customer and driver satisfaction.
• Manage trailer pools and location to ensure efficient and profitable operations.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

OTHER SIGNIFICANTJOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

• Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Must have at least 5 years’ of experience in the Transportation industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)

• Must have effective communication, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills  
• Must be flexible and adaptable to change
• Must have the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment 

PREFERRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)

• Previous TMW dispatch experience
• Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office programs

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Fast paced.
