About the role

This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S.
The Partner Manager – Services Enabled is a key role within the Partner Alliances team responsible for maintaining the corporate relationships with our cybersecurity technology partners.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager Partners & Alliances, the Partner Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of their assigned partners acting as the main point of contact across the Optiv organization while supporting the business growth of their partners via product resale and services.
This role will be specifically assigned to managing relationships with key technology partners to our services practices which are not otherwise managed.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of Optiv's relationship with assigned partners
  • Lead key growth initiatives with services practices and assigned technology partners
  • Work with the services practices and technology partners to identify new areas of opportunity and develop business plans that include:
  • Coordination across Optiv GTM apparatus (sales, services, solutions, and marketing)
  • Detailed commitments across Optiv and the partner on resourcing, investment, exit criteria, and success criteria
  • Alignment to services practice growth strategy and roadmap
  • Ensure Optiv is maximizing overall profitability using partner reseller programs, including reseller discounts through deal registration, rebate programs, MDF, and favorable financial terms
  • Drive all contract negotiations with partners alongside the Optiv Legal team including reseller and service agreements
  • Prepare and present required data for Executive Business Reviews for Optiv Leadership as well as regular cadence meetings with assigned partners
  • Work in conjunction with the Optiv Partner Operations team, to ensure all program information is up to date in Sales Force including, maintaining field partner rosters, managing Partner contacts, maintaining Partner certifications along with any other partner information relating to the partnership
  • Function as the go-to point of escalation and control for issues and conflicts at all levels of the relationship
  • Function as a partner advocate to all Sales Areas nationally for the assigned Partner(s)
  • Manage Optiv’s presence on partner websites
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • A strong understanding of the information security industry is required, including knowledge of leading industry vendors and products.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and ability to leverage reporting for insights into business health.
  • Understanding of professional services models, including technical services and managed services, to support services-aligned initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently and exhibit strong time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills, including the ability to listen and communicate effectively with all partners.
  • Initiative-taker with the ability to work in conjunction with multiple Vendor Partner Managers/Vendor Channel Managers and Optiv account executives.
  • Overall attention to accuracy and detail with regard to rebate negotiations and reports to executive management, documentation of events and meetings, spiffs, partner negotiations, and all written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
