The Digital Hub in Seattle focusses on developing a cloud architecture and building out the cloud platform for the next generation of connected car services. The Testing and Regulatory Affairs Division in Ann Arbor and the Advanced Vehicle Design in Carlsbad complete the competence center.
MBRDNA is seeking a Automotive Campaign Intern for our Ann Arbor, MI office. As part of this position, you will be responsible for facilitating daily operations by coordinating internal campaigns between technicians in Germany and the US that are focused on updating vehicles for certification & development. 
As an intern, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between German and U.S. technicians by translating instructions from Germany and providing guidance to U.S. technicians. Additionally, you will be responsible for sourcing necessary hardware parts and meticulously tracking the end-to-end progress of each campaign. Fluency in English and German, with the ability to translate complex technical information accurately is required for success in this role.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a technical and international business environment and to contribute to the continued success of an innovative and growing Mercedes-Benz. Job Responsibilities:

  • Support day-by-day business.
  • Evaluate open campaigns for certification and development vehicles.
  • Translate campaign information and instructions from German into English.
  • Works with R&D Germany and/or the international plants to acquire the necessary hardware needed for the campaigns.
  • Develop an interface with R&D Germany to access the right contacts for upcoming campaigns and to develop a process on how to check for new and execute those campaigns.
  • Develop an overview of certification relevant campaigns vs not certification relevant campaigns.
  • Develop and create a campaign tracking overview and present the status on a regular base.
  • Support fuel test rig testing activities with fuel tank testing group in Germany.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic, or a related field
  • Fluency in English and German, with the ability to translate complex technical information accurately
  • Understanding of electronic, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, tools and equipment
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Ability to learn and understand new concepts and applications
  • Proficiency in PC literacy, including expertise in both DOS and Windows-based operating systems and software programs
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Be able to lift 20 lbs
