Are you happiest when you are cooking? Come and work in a brand-new kitchen at Meadowview of Johnston as a Full-Time Cook!  Our senior care campus just opened in 2022 in Johnston, which is vibrant and known for annual festivals, music, and togetherness. 

Join our team where you can use your skills to create delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. There are no late nights in our kitchen! Your passion for cooking nutritious and appetizing meals will be highly valued by our residents. You will be able to build great relationships with our residents, as you may serve your meals to them on occasion. 

There are Full-Time, could be full time 2 shifts 7-3:30 and 3 10-6:30 (preferred)  
Part- Time: 2 shifts 7-3:30 and then another 3 shifts 10-6:30

Pay: $17-19

What does a Cook do?

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
• Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
• Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Will also be serving residents half of the time.
• Previous cooking experience in senior living is a plus. 

What does a Cook require?

• Prior commercial cooking/ food preparation experience preferred.
• Selected candidates are required to pass background checks.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to stand for length of shift.
• Baking experience a plus!
