Technical Program Manager, Packaging

The Reality Labs(RL) Packaging Team is focused on delivering consumer product packaging for all RL products (Mixed Reality, AI Glasses, Accessories and new devices). We focus on packaging that is sustainable, design-focused, and enhances the customer experience.

The RL Packaging team seeks a Technical Program Manager(TPM) who has demonstrated experience as a TPM in packaging and artwork development. As the packaging TPM, you will be responsible for collecting cross-functional inputs to support the team in designing, validating, and delivering product packaging at scale. Additionally, this role will be responsible for driving cross functional design teams to deliver in-box materials and printed content for a world class out of box experience(OOBE). You have a passion for problem solving and love finding solutions to help teams accomplish bold things. The products we work on help connect the world closer together and we contribute with each box we design. This is a full-time position.Technical Program Manager, Packaging Responsibilities

• Technical Program Manager for RL packaging products including Quest, Ray-Ban Meta, Wearables, Accessories and new devices
• End-to-end coordination of packaging engineering, design, and validation from product discovery through launch
• Lead collaboration with industrial design, engineering, legal, product management, compliance and operations to realize packaging vision and content on the packaging/in-box
• Guide the team through ambiguous packaging definition, sourcing cross-functional inputs and influencing to find an optimized solution
• Drive the execution of the schedule and manage day to day activities of the program
• Present program updates to leadership, distilling key program information and highlighting risks and recommended mitigations
• Implement process improvements and best practices for the organization
• Collaborate closely with Asia-Pacific suppliers for packaging builds
• ~10% international and domestic travel

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in engineering or equivalent industry experience
• 2+ years of hands-on program management experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in consumer electronics design cycles
• Experience working with contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and design agencies

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, packaging, or structural engineering
• Extensive knowledge of packaging manufacturing processes and print production
• 5+ years of hands-on program management experience
