Key responsibilities include coaching both the departing and receiving advisors through the end-to-end process, ensuring they understand the policies, deadlines, and the steps they need to take, and ensuring that client transition activities are completed accurately and timely. In addition to managing the Sunset Program, this role will also be responsible for managing advisor platform transitions and ensuring program requirements are followed. You will work closely with advisors, field leaders and a variety of corporate office teams including business partners within the Field Compensation & Incentives Team to deliver an exceptional advisor experience.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Sunset Program and Platform Transition Programs, becoming a deep subject matter expert and sought after for your knowledge and expertise.
Provide leadership to and collaborate closely with the Senior Business Program Coordinator, supporting 150+ active sunset agreements and executing on average 35 new sunset agreements during the year.
Engage with advisors and field leaders via phone calls, video conferences, and emails to explain the different benefits of the Sunset Program. Develop and provide analysis on the different Sunset options.
Walk advisors through the process for retiring and ensure forms and materials are submitted in good order and advisors understand the process.
Manage the end-to-end activities for the Sunset Program including advisor eligibility, selection of receiving advisor, length of agreement, impacted clients, compensation arrangements and payments, death benefit enrollment, beneficiary payments.
Lead annual certification process.
Work with Compliance and Legal to ensure the Sunset Program and participating advisors are meeting regulatory and supervisory requirements.
Manage the advisor transitions process and determine eligibility based on the policy requirements for each advisor platform.
Support advisor and field leader questions and provide transition analysis.
Create reports and analyze program trends and activities.
Create presentations for different corporate and field audiences.
Partner with the AAG Compensation Design team on annual program design review.
Identify and implement process enhancements to improve the overall advisor experience and to create operational efficiencies.
Provide ad hoc support to other advisor programs and compensation related projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
7+ years of relevant experience
Possess skills to write to different audiences (including corporate and field) in a way that clearly ties initiatives to how those employees conduct business, resulting in effective and lasting uptake.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including networking, conflict resolution, negotiating, and influencing.
Proven ability to lead, build, influence and maintain strong relationships with key business partners to drive initiatives
Demonstrated program management skills with results. Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments and make progress on all of them simultaneously.
Ability to assimilate information and connect the dots on varying firm-wide initiatives that affect teaming.
Strong Microsoft Office Knowledge.
Ability and desire to learn new skills and shift priorities/responsibilities to meet the needs of the business.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with and demonstrating results engaging with AAG/AFIG – familiarity with the field organizations.
Familiarity with advisor and client data systems (DCM, COLA, FACTS) and home office teams including Service & Operations, Compliance and Legal.
