We’re looking for a talented marketer to join our team. This position requires expertise in producing events for the field and virtually, creating compelling in-market experiences and targeted content for a variety of business roles, including senior executives. 
The PositionWorking closely with HappyCo’s CMO, you will plan and produce our field and virtual events, including executive-hosted dinners, in-market lunch-and-learns, and various webinar programs spanning thought leadership, customer spotlights, and product highlights. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to possess creativity and agility, and in particular the ability to produce unique experiences and create persuasive presentations that position HappyCo as a thought leader and our products as the leading solution in property operations and asset management.
In addition, this role will contribute to producing our annual customer event, Happy Summit, including assisting with planning, promotion and production. The role requires travel about 12.5% of the time, estimating one trip each month of 2-2.5 days.
This position reports to the CMO, works closely with our marketing and design teams, and is supported by our team marketing assistant across logistics, promotion, and marketing operations.

Week by Week. During your first 2-4 weeks you will:

  • Get to know our leadership, culture, and values
  • Complete our HappyCo orientation and onboarding program
  • Onboard with the marketing and design teams
  • Get acquainted with the product, sales and customer success departments
  • Familiarize yourself with our systems and tools 
  • Read our favorite industry primers
  • Attend your first Company Wide Meeting (monthly)

During your first 1-3 months you will:

  • Create your field marketing and webinar annual plan, targeting key regions across the U.S., and outlining strategic direction, program goals, content plans, and event schedules
  • Plan, host, and produce your first webinars and field events
  • Create compelling thought leadership and product content for webinar and in-market lunch-and-learns, targeting both customers and prospects, from onsite property teams to operations and asset management leadership
  • Assist in planning and production for the Happy Summit in San Diego in March 2024

During your first 4-12 months you will:

  • Expand the reach of field and webinar events working with our partnerships manager to identify sponsorship and outside speaker opportunities to increase event ROI and reach.
  • Cultivate relationships with industry leaders, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders to build strategic partnerships that can elevate the brand's presence and market reach. This may include co-marketing initiatives, joint ventures, or collaborative projects.
  • Identify, plan, and create content for CEO/CPO-hosted field events, driving more 1:1 interactions between HappyCo execs and customer and prospect senior leaders. 
  • Continue to optimize our field events and webinar programs across content, audience, venues, and format, based on quantitative and qualitative data from attendees, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Establish frameworks, responsibilities, and processes within the team that support scaling with the fewest resources.

What we think you need to be successful

  • 7-10 years marketing experience, with 3+ years in field events and webinars
  • Expertise in creating and delivering compelling experiences and content for the field and virtually to business audiences that persuade and convert prospects to customers  
  • Experience managing webinar events, including hosting and producing content
  • Experience in field marketing and working cross-functionally with Sales
  • Data-driven, highly motivated individual who is inspired to outperform KPIs and obsessively optimizes programs based on results
  • Team player who works cross-functionally with respect, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Experience in marketing and sales software: Salesforce, Pardot, Outreach, Zoom Webinar
  • High proficiency in Google Slides, Apple Keynote, or Microsoft PowerPoint
