Join Freedom Forever, a leading residential solar company, as a Solar Service Technician and help us deliver clean energy solutions to homeowners across Illinois.🔧 Position SummaryAs a Solar Service Technician, you will report to the Regional Service Manager and play a key role in maintaining and servicing residential solar systems. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on PV systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.Pay Range $21 to $26/hr. + Benefits+ opportunities for advancement🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PV inverters, string boxes, solar panels, and related components
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in solar systems
Conduct re-roofs, roof repairs, and drywall repairs as needed
Install and commission hardware, inverters, and monitoring equipment
Read and interpret electrical plans and schematics
Ensure compliance with NEC codes and Freedom Forever standards
Maintain accurate documentation, including RMAs and service reports
Travel to job sites as required (valid driver’s license and insurance required)
Follow all safety protocols and participate in ongoing training

✅ Qualifications

1+ year of solar experience required
Experience with electrical systems, roof racking, and PV component testing
Familiarity with Enphase, SolarEdge, SunPower, and other solar equipment
Ability to troubleshoot inverters, monitoring systems, and electrical panels
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Strong attention to detail, safety, and customer service
