Position responsible for shipping and receiving in dock area OR providing U.S. Mail service.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for unloading trucks and processing packages.
- Operates forklifts, jacks and other heavy lifting equipment.
- Prepares manifest for customer pickup of packages.
- Tracks sales of specified products including dry ice and alcohol.
- Delivers packages to various Washington University departments and buildings.
- Utilizes computer-based Bar-Code login and tracking system to ensure proper handling of express, fragile and perishable items.
- May assist in delivering, processing and collecting United States mail as well as inter-departmental mail and packages for faculty, staff and labs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
