Multiple positions available.

This is NOT a telework position.  The selected candidate must work in the office.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.

Salary: To be determined - $55,000 minimal annual

Location: Tallahassee, 2415 N. Monroe St., Tallahassee FL 32303.

Regular business hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Evening or weekend hours may be required as work volume dictates.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year (12 months) of documented experience in creating and presenting reports.
  • 2 years (24 months) of Excel experience utilizing functions, macros, and pivot charts.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.  If selected for this position a copy of the required degree, or official transcripts, in English, will be required. 

                     Related work experience can substitute as a year-for-year basis (minimum 4 years).

  • Two years professional experience working where the primary responsibilities are project management focused and have experience in managing a team.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS. Preference will be given to applicants who meet the following:

  • Experience working for DCF in the ESS program or other community agencies, non-profits, and other Governmental agencies.
  • Knowledge of Florida SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid eligibility policy

 
POSITION DESCRIPTION

This is a highly responsible professional position in the Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS) program. The individual in this position functions as a project manager responsible for organizing, planning, and managing programs and projects, and implementing program improvements affecting ESS staff and recipients of public benefits administered by the ESS program.  The incumbent must be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse teams, able to anticipate and manage issues, and be able to leverage lessons learned from past experiences.

This is a position located in DCF Headquarters in Tallahassee, FL, and reports directly to the ESS Program Data Supervisor.

The incumbent is a member of the DCF DSNAP Disaster Response team and, in that capacity, may be required on short notice to perform duties and travel in support of disaster relief. During such events, incumbent may be required to work more than 8 hours a day.

 

THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Provide oversight of assigned programs in areas designated to ensure conformity with Federal and State laws and regulations and the Department policies and operating procedures.
  • Utilize project management principles to lead the implementation of programs and related projects as assigned.
  • Creates long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and ensures program and project deliverables are completed on-time and within scope.
  • Coordinate program activities ensuring adherence to the program guidelines and deliverables.
  • Serve as a point of contact to lead the project and interface with key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Develop strategies and recommendations for leadership to ensure program goals are achieved.
  • Identify and implement operational process improvements.
  • Manage project risks related to timelines, scope, budgeting, and quality.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with support offices across the agency to complete project tasks.
  • Prepare reports and data visualizations by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
  • Conduct monitoring activities related to program implementation and participate in post program evaluations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
