Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

Under direct supervision of Processing Ops Manager, responsible for rating and invoicing physical audits, policyholder reports, and estimated audits using voucher software and various rating systems for billing purposes. Completes all types of audits and properly utilizes various systems as assigned. Must be able to identify and resolve all system problems and errors. Using information provided by auditors and analysts, completes vouchers on automated and manual policies following established procedures. Able to identify questionable exposures provided by auditors and analysts and return as appropriate for clarification or correction. Manages work assignment to achieve the goals of production, timeliness, and quality.

What Will You Do?

  • Rate and invoice physical audits, policyholder reports and estimated audits.
  • Completes complex audits.
  • Communicate with auditors and analysts when additional/corrected information is needed.
  • Identify and resolve all system errors.
  • Maintain appropriate level of production, timeliness, and quality.
  • Document Audit System with results of completion as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of all rating systems and use when necessary.
  • Communicate with underwriting services and marketing offices to obtain information to correctly complete adjustments.
  • Update and balance account financials.
  • Understand the various systems needed to obtain information to correctly complete adjustments.
  • Maintain current working knowledge related to all state agency and bureau rules and regulation applicable to premium determination.
  • Understand and apply all applicable State laws pertaining to voucher completion (e.g. policy premiums, taxes, surcharges, miscellaneous premiums, etc.).
  • Assume responsibilities for continued personal development (i.e. office training, seminars, self paced education, etc.).
  • Assist other co-workers and provide back up in other areas as needed.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers (i.e. auditors, underwriters, service centers) as necessary.
  • Perform other work-related duties and assist in special projects as assigned.
  • Assist in training of employees when requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Prefer 2 or more years work experience in Premium Audit.
  • Working knowledge of insurance rules and regulations related to premium determination and knowledge of Property Casualty Premium Audit processing, Workers Comp and Commercial Lines products and coverage.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Word/Excel proficient.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining production, timeliness and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to be detail oriented.
  • Strong work ethic.

What is a Must Have?

  • High school diploma required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Strong demonstrated customer service orientation required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel functionality required.
