This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional events professional with relevant experience to join a team that is boldly designing transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies from the ground up. TMTT is dedicated to solving the complex challenges of mitral and tricuspid disease to transform treatment and significantly improve patients’ lives. This role will manage annual major congress and meeting strategy for TMTT portfolio and seek opportunities to expand Edwards' TMTT presence in the US as well as, manage annual congress strategy and seek opportunities to expand Edwards's presence.
How you will make an impact:
Own the overall Edwards Lifesciences strategy and execution of all national medical congresses and meetings from development to implementation; provide support for global congresses as needed.
Understand business objectives and sets clear objectives and metrics for each congress or meeting through collaborations with TMTT key stakeholders
Manage all aspects of each congress or meeting to ensure business objectives are met
Develop strategies for the effective management and execution of medical congresses, marketing events and projects intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads
Develop relationships with associations to ensure maximum exposure and greatest benefit for Edwards sponsorship and participation
Develops and maintains relationships with cross business units partners to ensure TMTT fits flawless within Edwards Lifesciences events
Manage relationships with multiple vendors and lead vendor teams for congress execution and event management
Negotiate higher volume and complex contracts
Manage new booth development; audit booth asset inventory; remain current on new trends in exhibit design to contribute to large and small exhibits
Plan and execute educational symposia and customer engagement events within national medical congresses; contract negotiations, logistics, F&B, AV
Active budget forecasting, management and reconciliation; and fiscal responsibility
Lead cross functional teams to successful results
What you will need (Required):
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 8 years of experience working in corporate event planning and/or tradeshows, marketing or corporate administration

Proven successful project management skills
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
Extensive understanding of related aspects of marketing concepts and principles
Extensive knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to strategic event planning
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Represents leadership on sections of projects within a specific area working closely with cross-functional team, marketing peers and leaders and managing needs and messaging to upper management
Maintain a strong relationship with the regional commercial teams (sales and clinical specialists, governmental affairs, health economics and training) to ensure effective and optimal integration of efforts & BU Partners
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
Travel: Up to 30% travel domestically.
