New Energy Solutions is also responsible for finding, developing, and scaling new opportunities in green energy technologies.  </p><p>In this role you will work in the Host Norway department, which is responsible for finding, assessing, and developing sites for new green industry development in Statkraft. As a Senior Site Developer, you will: </p><ul><li>Contribute to developing project sites for power-intensive green industry (e.g., hydrogen, biofuels, data centers, etc.) by providing technical advice on grid connection and other technical infrastructure </li><li>Lead or contribute to multidiscipline projects from initiation of potential project sites to the construction phase, focusing on technical utilities, grid connection, and site feasibility </li><li>Work on sorting out potential ways of feeding sites with electricity, high-level design of facilities, impact assessments and environmental aspects, risk and vulnerability, grid cost estimates, grid connection processes, and NVEs concession processes </li><li>Provide technical direction for feasibility studies and further project development, allowing you to expand your knowledge and tasks beyond your electrical discipline </li><li>Stay updated on regional and national grid plans, as well as regional/national maturity processes for grid connection and other relevant processes linked to NVE and other stakeholders' processes and regulations </li><li>Assist with negotiating grid technical requirements and preparation of contractual documentation, ensuring that projects move forward smoothly </li><li>Engage with the TSO, DSOs, local authorities, landowners, consultants, and industry to support the wider development strategy and make a positive impact </li><li>Provide technical advice to developers and project managers, helping to support the technical development of their projects and contributing to the growth of the green industry</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>We believe that the right candidate has the following qualifications: </p><ul><li>Degree in engineering or natural sciences </li><li>Good technical knowledge of the operation and challenges associated with electricity transmission and distribution systems </li><li>Experience from grid connection application processes </li><li>Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English </li><li>Experience from, or interest in, Project Management would be desirable for this exciting and rewarding position </li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>What We Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Unlimited learning opportunities at various levels of the organisation</li><li>The chance to grow your career alongside a truly global network of experts, leaders, specialists, and graduates from different countries and backgrounds</li><li>The opportunity to work somewhere with pride, and be able to honestly say “My work is contributing to saving the planet”</li><li>A work culture that puts emphasis on the individual, offering flexible working solutions and work-life balance principles</li><li>A focus on fun outside of work, supported by various activity groups such as soccer, yoga, sailing, climbing, boxing, cabin rentals, and much more   </li><li>Statkraft offers competitive terms of employment and benefit schemes, and we’re a trusted employer that puts the safety of our people first.
