About the role

Position Overview

Join our growing Cardiac Telemetry Unit, located on a beautiful newly expanded patient care floor designed to support both our patients and caregivers. This state-of-the-art unit provides a collaborative environment where nurses play a vital role in monitoring and caring for patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions while utilizing advanced telemetry technology.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a night shift position working two 12-hour shifts per week. In this role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality patient care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and contribute to positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced cardiac setting.

Compensation Range:

$40.70 - $61.05 per hour, depending on experience

Sign-On Bonus

Up to a $25,000 sign-on bonus for candidates who meet eligibility criteria.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patients

  • Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needs

  • Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management

  • Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies

  • Support effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services

  • Adhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies

  • Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiatives

  • Contribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence‑based practice and nursing research

  • Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observers

  • Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, effective patient care

Education & Experience

Minimum Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting

Licensure & Certifications

Minimum Required:

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License

Preferred:

  • CCRN certification

  • Additional skills certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)
