Job Summary
Summary: The MGH Institute of Health Professions invites applications for part-time term lecturer(s) in the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. We are seeking dynamic instructors with both academic and industry experience to teach online graduate-level courses in our asynchronous learning environment. While specific course assignments will be made based on final candidates, we are looking for individuals with content expertise in:• Population Health Management
• Strategic Planning in Healthcare
• Marketing in Healthcare
• Integrated Practicum and/or Capstone Projects in Health Administration
• Healthcare Ethics and Law
• Quality Improvement in Healthcare
• Human Resource Management
Candidates with expertise in multiple content areas are welcome.
We are also seeking candidates who hold Six Sigma certification and have the ability to certify students.
Qualifications
About the MHA Program:
The MHA at MGH Institute is an accelerated, 12-month, fully online graduate program designed to prepare professionals to lead transformational change in healthcare organizations. Learn more here: MHA Program Overview
Responsibilities include:
- Facilitating asynchronous course delivery through the Canvas platform
- Providing timely and meaningful feedback on assignments and discussion posts
- Maintaining regular communication with students via announcements, email, and optional live sessions
- Ensuring course content remains current and relevant to the healthcare field
- Collaborating with instructional design and program leadership to ensure quality course instruction
- Incorporate concepts of health equity in teaching
Education and Experience: Master’s degree or PhD in Health Administration, Public Health, Business, or a related field, teaching experience (2-3 years), experience teaching online, background in LMS learning systems (preferably Canvas), communication skills.
Start Date: Opportunities available for Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026
While we re-evaluate mutual partnerships between instructors and the program each semester, an ideal candidate would be interested in a multiple-semester commitment.
Qualifications Required:
Master's, EdD, or PhD, teaching experience.
Qualifications Preferred:
PhD, Online learning experience, Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma Certification & experience certifying learners in Six Sigma.
Pay:
Anticipated pay is $2300/credit. We reserve the right to cancel the course or adjust compensation based on enrollment.
