As the Customer Care Specialist, you will provide a high level of customer service as you field customer concerns via phone and email channels to identify problems, take appropriate resolution steps, educate, and communicate with appreciation to the XPO customers. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Investigation of distressed shipment & cargo claims concerns using a variety of tools and systems     
  • Keep the customer updated throughout the process, demonstrating empathy for XPO mistakes, and escalate when resolution has stalled
  • Use internal systems to understand a shipment history in order to answer questions or provide options
  • Support customers who request shipment changes by engaging the appropriate operational teams
  • Answer a variety of customer inquiries using information in Edge, Corrections, Looker and other systems
  • Perform system updates required to trigger operational behaviors and desired outcome

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • 1 year of related work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel), and other business-related applications

It’d be great if you also have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of customer service experience
  • 1 year of transportation industry experience
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts
  • Familiarity with CRM technology, e.g., Salesforce.com
  • Ability to identify and help implement continuous improvement solutions
  • Ability to understand instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform required tasks
