BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
Assistant Construction Foreman is responsible for safety and environmental compliance, contractor performance, cost management, and other supervisory activities on construction projects. Coordinates all new lease road, location, battery, facility, and pipeline construction as well as needed and necessary rework to existing roads, locations, batteries, facilities and pipelines. Provides pre-job planning, supervision, and documentation for personnel safety and construction related operations, and must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and work efficiently with Landowners, Engineers, Landmen, Geologists, state/province and Local officials, Construction vendors and their staff.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of 7 years of related industry experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Demonstrate safe and ethical behavior at all times
• Understand and apply all Company policies and ensures others comply with these policies
• Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist or are suspected
• Supervise daily activities of direct reports and inspectors
• Schedule inspection requirements for projects
• Monitor compliance of construction activities to Company policies and external regulatory requirements
• Assemble required project documents such as specifications, drawings, payment schedules, and other business documents related to the work
• Review and approve invoices submitted for payment by vendors
• Coordinate and perform tasks involved with pre project planning such as required construction documents and material procurement
• Investigate and report all incidents within area of responsibility
• Assemble and review construction documentation required for the permanent construction file
• Communicate with construction contractors regarding issues including safety performance, project scheduling, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and costs
• Interact with company personnel to coordinate construction activities
• Communicate construction activities to landowners as necessary for project completion
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Oil and Gas Industry Experience Preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work within a team environment
• Able to identify opportunities for cost reductions, job efficiency, and safety improvements
• Understanding of economic evaluations and indicators and how they affect projects
• Able to travel and work extended hours
• Position requires operation of Company vehicles. Incumbent must maintain a clean driving record and adhere to Company policies.
