SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Sequencing Operator inspects parts, sequences parts according to customer demands, and ship parts according to customer’s production schedule.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Picks production materials identified on a pick sheet within the sequencing area in an accurate and timely manner
Maintains stock in an organized fashion and on a first in-first out (FIFO) basis
Uses ERP system to communicate with customer, scan labels, and print labels as required
Works with computer scanning devices and computer display readouts
Sequence racks according to customer demand printouts and rack numbers
Identifies problems with completed parts and notifies management
Load and unload trailers for shipping as required by deliver schedule
Ensure pick sheets are attached to packaging as required by customer
Report packaging issues or broken parts to ensure packaging is maintained to customer requirements and expectations
Creatively seeks improvements in working conditions, the process and its capability, which also includes working with his / her peers
Maintains required records and completes all paperwork associated with the job assignment in an accurate and timely manner
Places material in correct cell containers that coincide with the build sequence
Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts as needed
Must be able to lift and push up to 30 pounds repeatedly
Loads and unloads parts from production line to warehouse as needed
Works in a manner that promotes teamwork among fellow employees
Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Company’s safety policies and procedures
Reports all unsafe and unhealthy conditions or acts to management immediately and follows all safety rules, keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition
Performs other duties as necessary
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment
Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – weighing up to 25 pounds.
Push / Pull objects safely and ergonomically
Employees must be able to work overtime and weekends, as needed
