We are seeking permanent Registered Nurses to join us at Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS) Community Team.
Older Persons Mental Health is a unique combination of mental health and/or dementia care. We work collaboratively with the person, their family as well as informal and formal supports within their lives to ensure the person is living the best life they can.

The role:
The Registered Nurse - Community Mental Health:
- Consistent with ongoing experience, strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals and community sector organisations within the defined community practice area.
- As part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high quality mental health services, provides a specialist mental health service within the community setting for a designated client group utilising evidence based practices and recovery principles.

Details of Appointment
Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible
Permanent part time day worker position working 30.4 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary: $75,902 - $102,908 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
