Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Director to lead and manage the engineering team for our growing Architectural Coatings business. The Engineering Director will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of engineering solutions that enhance our product manufacturing processes, packaging technologies, and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for overseeing process improvements, plant engineering, equipment maintenance, and new technology implementation to drive efficiency, sustainability, and product quality. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the CPG industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Lead and manage the engineering team across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring efficient production processes and overseeing the execution of all engineering projects.
- Oversee plant maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and upgrades of manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage the storage, handling, and efficient use of raw materials such as pigments, resins, and solvents, reducing inventory waste and costs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and company policies, including OSHA and EPA, implementing safety programs and sustainable production practices to minimize environmental impact.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to enhance product formulations and manufacturing techniques.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise to resolve production challenges, ensuring smooth manufacturing operations and minimal disruptions.
- Lead capital investment projects, including plant expansions, new equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
