About the role

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to support the MIITS Program at Fort Huachuca who will support, manage, and foster the quality culture for the SSDLC environment of the Intelligence Center of Excellence. Areas of focus will be, but not limited to: management of web solution and software engineering projects, software testing, artifact auditing and collection, prioritize software engineering tasks, update project plans using approved tools, report trends to management in appropriate context, brief government and contract leadership, and manage personnel as the deputy project manager.

 

What you will do:• Develop and implement QA testing strategies and processes• Define quality goals and ensure quality standards are met throughout the SDLC.• Mentor and train team members while fostering a culture of quality• Manage the process of identifying, reporting, tracking, and resolving testing defects• Monitor and report on quality metrics, provide regular reports to stakeholders• Identify areas for process improvement, champion best practices in methodologies and tools, and advocate for quality throughout the organization and its processes• Ensure compliance of required documentation & adherence to standards• Management of personnel, on/offboard, provide immediate feedback, resolve conflicts, and foster positive relationships between employees and management

 

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD or 12 years of related work experience.

 

What you will need:• Active SECRET or higher clearance• Security+ (or other IAT II qualified certification)• Experience in software testing, especially manual and unit testing• Experience in full life cycle software development and maintenance projects• Experience managing or training personnel• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Experience prioritizing IT events (incidents, projects, etc)• Experience creating testing process documentation

Desired qualifications: (nice-to-have’s, soft skills – these are not disqualifiers)• Experience training military personnel or personnel management• Experience with SharePoint, O365

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
