About the role

About our group:

 

The Customer Quality Engineer team is part of the Customer Technical Engagement organization and is based in Colorado and Minnesota. The team supports all major OEM, Cloud, and SSD customers worldwide related to qualification and quality issues including management of all Failure analysis for customers in US Design Center

About the role - you will:

 

  • Be responsible for ensuring our customers gets the best Total Customer Experience. 

  • Manage quality both in qualification and sustaining phase,

  • Meet customer return rate goals,

  • Manage Failure Analysis, generate 8 Discipline (8D) reports and provide corrective actions to the customers.

  • Enable initiatives and projects to improve work processes within and outside the organization.

  • Do First Pass Config (FPC), Pilot and RTS readiness reviews.

  • Do  Qualification FA Tracking and Communication to customer teams

  • Do Field Failure Analysis Tracking and Communication to customer teams

  • Do Field Data Package for Enterprise products

  • Do  Failure Analysis Turn Around Time Management

  • Do Failure Analysis Priority Management with WW FA Team

  • Do  WebFacts Database Failure Analysis management and SOF creation

  • Manage customer Qual and Field escalations with Customer Technical Engagement & Design Center resources

  • Manage factory escalations with Customer Technical Engagement and Factory Engineering

  • Write Customer 8 Discipline Reports

  • Do Weekly Factory Metric Review and Approval for all US Design Center Enterprise products

  • Do Design center liaison with Released Product Team, Product Core Team and Reliability Teams

  • Support Systems group for all drive related issues

  • Do  Weekly Enterprise / Cloud / SSD Customer Issue Review

  • Do Customer Change Notification and Customer Communication tracking

  • Do Enterprise ARR Project Management for Enterprise products

About you:

 

  • Motivated, self-starter, willing to learn and collaborate in a team environment and cross functionally with other groups to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

Your experience includes:

 

  • Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Background
  • Hard Drive, Solid State or Storage knowledge preferred.
  • Problem Solving and Issue resolution skills
  • Working with cross functional extended team outside the core organization
  • Customer Interaction skills preferred
  • BA in an electrical or mechanical engineering degree, must be enrolled in Fall 2024 semester
