Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for facilitating successful Point of Sale (POS) and/or Merchandising projects/implementations by utilizing proven project management skills along with retail industry knowledge and software product knowledge for OLR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Constantly provide leadership to both OLR and client project team members
● Define and maintain project objectives, scope, organization, timelines, and overall approach
● Provide management and produce deliverables as it relates the Software Development Life Cycle and Project Management Life Cycle. This includes overseeing all development and project deliverable work as defined in the RACI Matrix.
● Continually develop and monitor implementation project plans including management of staffing, timeline, and budget considerations
● Regularly consider and define implementation and integration alternatives
● Constantly monitor project progress against plan for effectiveness and accuracy
● Regularly compile project status reports and ensure proper distribution to OLR and client staff
● Facilitate the logging, reporting, and resolution of application issues, as needed
● Regularly monitor project teams schedules to ensure project progress while considering staffs time off requests
● Perform go-live assessments to determine readiness of the system as well as client and support teams
● Indirectly supervise project team, including, but not limited to, Business Consultants, Technical Consultants, and Technical Infrastructure Consultants
● Carries out day to day account management and service delivery ownership for assigned clients/customers
Requirements
Essential skillsDemonstrable project management record in successful medium to large scale packaged software implementation
- Previous experience in retail applications, either on Point of Sale (POS) or Merchandising
- Demonstrated experience in participating in and directing C-level meetings
- Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of project management
- Understand and demonstrate financial responsibility
- Effectively identify, escalate, and manage risks
- High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information
- Strong ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in a Business, Computer Science or related field or 8+ years of related experience
- 5+ years POS experience and or 5+ years Merchandising/Ecomm experience
- 5+ years consulting experience or participation in large-scale integration projects or account/program management
- 5+ years of experience leading a team
- 5+ years of retail industry experience
Travel: Can be up to 50%-80% (currently remote)
