What You’ll Do:
As a Cloud Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our large, distributed cloud systems. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting and maintaining extensive clusters across multiple racks and nodes. You’ll work alongside a talented team to provide critical support for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of complex cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of large-scale cloud systems with multiple clusters.
Administer and monitor distributed systems, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
Use your expertise in scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, or similar) to automate processes and enhance system efficiency.
Manage core Linux components, including user/group account management, LDAP configuration, DHCP, DNS, and TFTP.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with distributed storage systems such as Hadoop, Cassandra, Scality, Swift, Gluster, Lustre, GPFS, Amazon S3, and other similar technologies.
Leverage configuration management tools like Puppet and SALT to streamline system management.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience in cloud system administration, troubleshooting, and maintaining large distributed systems.
Expertise in scripting languages like Bash, Perl, Python, or a similar language to automate tasks and streamline operations.
Strong knowledge of core Linux OS components, including LDAP, DHCP, DNS, and TFTP configuration.
Hands-on experience with large-scale storage systems such as Hadoop, Cassandra, Swift, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet and SALT.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required
- Five years experience as a Systems Administrator with solid understanding and working knowledge of core Linux operating system components is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or another related technical field is required (Note: Four additional years of experience can be substituted in leue of having a degree)
- 8570 IAT Level I or higher (preferably Security+) is required and must be obtained prior to starting
- One of the following certifications is also required prior to starting; AWS Certified SysOps Administrator---Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to provide tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 support as well as able to provide support to include handling problem identification, diagnosis, resolution and escalation.
