DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will participate as a member of the ArcelorMittal NOES Project Team as the leader of the quality team.  This candidate will join a project team launching the 600,000 square foot facility to manufacture non grain oriented electrical steel (NOES), recruit and hire the quality team, participate in commissioning the plant, and lead the team after starting production.

 

The Basics:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, a Technical Degree, or a combination of education and experience 
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience supporting quality functions in a heavy industrial operation
  • Leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge of OEM equipment inspections, standards, and procedures
  • Knowledge of construction (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Fluid/piping systems and electrical) testing and standards
  • Ability to execute all elements of the Process and Product Quality Control Process, including leading a team through the following sub-processes:
    • Quality Planning, Quality Control, and Continuous Improvement
    • Root Cause Failure Analysis

 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead a team of ArcelorMittal Calvert employees, contractors, EPCM staff and others to ensure all aspects of the project quality policies are met or exceeded
  • Owner of Project Quality policies and standards
  • Lead the non-conformance report process to ensure prompt action and correction of quality issues
  • Lead the quality specialists to make assessments and decisions in the best interest of the ArcelorMittal Calvert NOES customer base
  • Demonstrate the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability
  • Fulfill the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Fulfill the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality C
