What You Will Do
- We have an opportunity for an MCL Metallurgical Technician to be based in Columbus, GA. (onsite role)
- This is a Fri – Sun day shift . 12 hour days, 6:30am-6:30pm
- Section (cutting) and preparing the specimen for Metallurgy review
- Wire EDM
- Water jet
- Other types of saws for sectioning
- Prepare specimens by operating different equipment for multiple mounting and polishing methods.
- Utilize different chemicals for the etching process
- Use multiple machines to perform various metallurgical tests on the specimens.
- Maintaining lab supplies and order supplies and chemicals for testing
- Perform 6s each shift.
- Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings.
- Complete all training within the expected time given.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- HS Diploma or GED
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Value:
- Two years’ experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Wire EDM and water jet experience
- Technical degree preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
