What You Will Do

• We have an opportunity for an MCL Metallurgical Technician to be based in Columbus, GA. (onsite role)
• This is a Fri – Sun day shift . 12 hour days, 6:30am-6:30pm
• Section (cutting) and preparing the specimen for Metallurgy review
• Wire EDM
• Water jet
• Other types of saws for sectioning
• Prepare specimens by operating different equipment for multiple mounting and polishing methods.
• Utilize different chemicals for the etching process
• Use multiple machines to perform various metallurgical tests on the specimens.
• Maintaining lab supplies and order supplies and chemicals for testing
• Perform 6s each shift.
• Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings.
• Complete all training within the expected time given.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• HS Diploma or GED
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Value:

• Two years’ experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Wire EDM and water jet experience
• Technical degree preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
