Brown Advisory is seeking to hire a Senior Business Analyst to provide support to the Global Institutional Business’ senior leadership as part of the business management team. Key responsibilities include business analysis, project management support, management and board reporting and administration of vendors, user access, and other internal approval workflows.

As a Senior Business Analyst your primary duties include but not limited to:

Business Management and Communication

  • Support the development and execution of strategic communication plans to share progress on business objectives.  Create presentations and communications for range of events and audiences.

  • Perform ongoing analysis to identify opportunities to increase the efficiency of routine activities within the institutional business.

  • Provide support to institutional leadership team members in resolving escalations, with detailed tracking of issues and trend analysis to identify areas of opportunity for systemic improvement.

  • Provide support for meetings including agenda development, note-taking, and coordination of follow-up actions and communications.

Project Management and Support

  • Support management of new projects by defining the scope and objectives, and creating a detailed plan for tasks, resources, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Collect and document business requirements in support of project teams.

  • Lead the execution of projects through project lifecycle within the global institutional business.

Business Governance Activities

  • Support recurring review and refinement of all policies and procedures governing the execution of the Institutional business.

  • Support the ongoing management of vendors functioning for the institutional business.

  • Support the governance of proxy voting activities in alignment with the firm’s investment strategies and sustainable investing principles, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client mandates.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional industry experience in similar role strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to work successfully in fast-paced environment with multiple projects and initiatives underway at the same time

  • Exceptional organizational skills; strong ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, high proficiency in managing data

  • Creative thinker with innovative approach to problem-solving

  • Ability to operate independently with a high level of direct responsibility – must be a self-starter

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion

  • Proficient in MS Office–Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Must be willing to work out of our Baltimore, MD office five days a week

MD Salary: $95k-125k; Commensurate with experience and location. This range does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
