Receiving Supervisor- 2nd Shift

Reports To:

• Shipping Manager.

Description:

• Directs the daily activities of the Shipping department in conjunction with the Group Leaders and employees in their goal of shipping finished goods to customers in a correct and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Assists Group Leaders in their daily activities.
• Investigates and solves intra-departmental problems that may occur in daily operations.
• Maintains accurate records of necessary data.
• Initiates Corrective Action Requests and follows through to completion.
• Coordinates with other departments on inventory levels and other related matters.
• Seeks better ways of operation to maximize output.
• Maintains inter-departmental communications.
• Creates an environment within the department that is positive and encourages employee involvement.
• Provides and maintains a safe and clean working environment following prescribed guidelines.
• Supports the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and environmental policies.

Education:

• High School Degree, GED or higher.

Experience: N/A

>Skills:

• Computer skills in working with Windows operating system as well as Word Processor, Spreadsheet software.
• Basic typing proficiency

Training Specific to position: N/A

>Other:

• Good organizational skills.
• Good communication skills
• Capable of working any assigned shift.
• Must be able to travel with limited notice.
• Possess good leadership skills.
