Clinician I, TBS

Wage band range $66,650.00 - $80,000.00 annually. However, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. Position is eligible for Bilingual pay incentive. 

Under the direction of the TBS Program Manager, the Clinician I is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising one-to-one therapeutic contact with community-based children referred to Casa Pacifica through Ventura County Behavioral Health. The Clinician I carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica by providing individualized behavioral interventions as needed at a child's home, school, or other community settings.

CREDENTIALS: Must be eligible to register with BBS/APA as APCC, AMFT, ASW, or MFTI.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (illustrated by typical activities):

• Participates in the implementation of one-to-one therapeutic behavioral interventions for children as needed at home, school, or other community-based settings in accordance with the TBS Treatment Plan. Interventions include, but are not limited to: social skills training, anger management, anxiety reduction, communication skills, feeling identification, etc.
• Acts as a member of the child's treatment team and collaborates closely with all team members regarding matters related to one-to-one therapeutic behavioral interventions as outlined in the TBS Treatment Plan.
• Assists in teaching parents, caregivers, teachers, treatment team members, and other significant support persons the strategies and skills necessary to help the client meet their goals and succeed in the fade-out process.
• Aids in the training, development, and oversight of all TBS Specialists, serving as a role model for professionalism, time management, documentation, interventions, leadership, and job productivity.
• Assists with initial and review meetings, program observations, assessment visits, and other in-home visits to provide field support to TBS Specialists, ensuring the highest quality of care.
• Meets a minimum monthly billing expectation of 3,600 minutes and ensures documentation is completed promptly by submitting notes within 48 hours of service provision.
• Maintains an active caseload of 1-2 clients.
• Maintains clinical oversight of the TBS program.
• Provides supervision and support to individual TBS Specialists.
• Assists in completing staff evaluations in conjunction with the TBS Program Manager and TBS Clinical Supervisor.
• Attends initial treatment team meetings and develops TBS treatment plans for each client referred to TBS.
• Participates in observation visits, shadowing visits, and assessment visits with staff, a minimum of 12 visits per week.
• Reviews all TBS provider progress notes, providing feedback as necessary. Ensures documentation is completed in a timely manner by submitting approved notes within 48 hours of the deadline.
• Completes clinical supervisory documentation and notes promptly, consistent with deadlines for other TBS staff.
• Assists TBS Specialists in Functional Assessment Development and incorporates Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) when appropriate (i.e., ABA, CBT, DBT, etc.).
