This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or a Registered Architect (RA). Your license or registration must be held in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current license or registration with your application package. A copy of a wall certificate that does not have an expiration date will not serve to verify this requirement. In addition to the Selective Placement Factor and Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Acting as a Design Manager on design actions, including Architect-Engineering (AE) contract actions and In-House design efforts; 2) Writing scopes of work, developing Independent Government Estimates, and performing/leading negotiations on AE actions; 3) Coordinating with discipline directors for staff assignments, measuring workload capacity, and prioritizing workload based on risk; 4) Leading teams and developing and/or analyzing workload projections.
