Salary Range: $48,000–$59,750

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

 

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be assigned to supervise the Minneapolis Campus Store & Mailroom and will be responsible for the

day-to-day operations. Must have previous retail experience with some supervisory and product display experience.

This position will be full-time and work schedule flexibility is essential, as your schedule & location can vary

depending on what events are taking place.

 

This position is responsible for approving of the University of St. Thomas licensing requests from outside vendors.

Responsible for communicating approval, changes, or rejections, through the use of vendors licensing software. This

position will meet monthly with CLC to build the University’s presence in external retail spaces.

 

This position is also responsible for the purchasing, inventory control, pricing, PLU maintenance, merchandising and

special orders of all office supplies, candy, snack items, Pepsi products, health and beauty products and electronics at

all campus store locations. As a campus store buyer, this position is required to attend trade shows and to meet with

vendor representatives on a regular basis.

 

This position is also responsible for student employee supervision. Responsible for the opening and closing of the

Minneapolis Campus Store & Mail operations, evenings and weekend work required as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide supervision, scheduling, and direction for all regular FTE and student workers in the Minneapolis Campus Store & Mail Room. Creates a logistical plan for the incoming freight and how to prep it for the selling floor and the stockroom. Provides performance feedback including discipline and corrective action when necessary. Makes recommendations for hiring, termination, and wage changes of staff reporting to this position.
  • This position is required to identify supplies and electronic items to be purchased for resale in all Campus Stores. This position has an expectation to identify new trends and products for campus customers. The buyer is responsible for ordering, receiving, pricing, PLU/data entry and merchandising all products ordered. This position will need to be able to merchandise the stores to implement different merchandising strategies to provide an inviting shopping experience for our customers.
  • This position is the Collegiate Licensing Coordinator (CLC) for the entire university. The licensing coordinator works with internal campus partners and external vendor partners. The coordinator regulates, promotes, and protects the use of the university’s name and identifying marks, both on and off campus.
