We are seeking a Sr Principal Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field. Electrical Engineers at SNC research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog and digital circuits to fully integrated systems.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Thorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Extensive experience with electrical systems design and hardware integration
  • Proficiency working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

 

Preferred:

  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Extensive experience with electrical design tools like CATIA Electrical (preferred), Siemens Capital, or Zuken E3
  • Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Knowledge of guidance and certification of aircraft Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS)
  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)
  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing,
