About this Opportunity
MillerKnoll’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
As a Business Risk Intern, you will work on control identification, monitoring, and enhancement recommendations of the Company’s internal control environment in accordance Sarbanes Oxley and PCAOB requirements. Participate in compliance and process improvement audits as detailed within the Company’s audit plan. Participate in “Ask the expert” targeted training sessions to management to provide key updates and guidance surrounding new accounting pronouncements, PCAOB guidelines, or changes in legislation.

· Attains on-the-job work experience that is aligned with career objectives.
· Participates in cross-functional teamwork to complete Intern Project.
· Performs additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives.
· Performs tasks related to the degree program as assigned by the work team leader.
What You Bring
The needed skills and experience for this role include...
· A solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), internal controls and audit methodologies.
· Exhibits an ability to work cooperatively both in a team environment and independently.
· Advanced proficiency in Excel.
· Able to demonstrate high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures and processes in a logical sequence; at a level appropriate to the audience and resulting in effective working relationships.
· Enrolled and pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts on request.
· You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
· Must have satisfactorily completed basic coursework in the chosen degree program.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States.
· Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
