Sr. Manager, Revenue Accounting

About the role

Intapp is looking for a highly motivated, Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting to join our expanding Finance team in a high growth environment. Reporting to the VP of Revenue, this role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of global revenue accounting by providing leadership, accounting expertise, business sense, and a strong desire to improve processes and controls. This role will combine both technical and operational aspects of revenue management and execution with a priority on optimizing quote to cash and monthly close processes and providing executive leadership with key analytics related to revenue. The successful candidate will need to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including: Business Operations, FP&A, SOX, IT and Professional Services in the coordination of accounting, billing, and review of sales contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the review of complex revenue transactions involving key customers, on-prem license conversions and contract modifications
  • Ensure the company’s revenue is recognized accurately and on a timely manner by optimizing quote-to-cash processes and review procedures
  • Execute the revenue recognition policies and procedures and ensure revenue recognized in conformity with U.S. GAAP, ASC 606 and the Company’s policies
  • Lead automation projects and streamline processes within the Revenue team and with cross-functional business partners resulting in a reduced monthly close timeline
  • Participate post signature contract reviews, enhance and review the revenue checklist to ensure that significant terms and conditions are accounted for properly
  • Ensure quote-to-cash process and review procedures support efficient review of SSP and ASC 606 revenue disclosures
  • Analyze key topline metrics for CFO review
  • Assist the Revenue team with design and documentation of internal controls, processes, policies and procedures
  • Work with Revenue team and external auditors to support the annual audit requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of related experience with the Big 4 and a public technology company, SaaS preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) active license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA is a plus.
  • SaaS revenue review experience and on-prem experience preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience presenting to executives, internal and external auditors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Keen analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Demonstrate ability to spearhead and project manage major programs to successful completion.

Desired:

  • NetSuite, OpenAir and Salesforce experience preferred
  • Super user of excel
