Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as the Chief Information Officer of GE Aviation Software and actively participate in strategic conversations around business needs and opportunity, with a strong focus on prioritization and quantifiable impact.
  • Own the relationship between the GE Aviation Software business and the GE Aerospace Digital Technology function, partnering with leaders in both organizations to ensure prioritized goals and associated business impact are achieved.
  • Develop and contribute a strong awareness of customer needs, existing and emerging technologies, and a willingness to influence both GE Aviation Software and GE Aerospace to pursue the right technology plays that improve customer outcomes, drive market impact, and generate efficiencies to enhance business performance.
  • Own and execute transition of applications from GE Digital to GE Aerospace, measured by the elimination of TSA dependency.  In some cases, this will include leading the evaluation, selection, implementation, and product management of P&L-specific commercial software solutions.
  • Identify and advocate for GE Aviation Software needs in broader GE Aerospace DT product strategy discussions where digital tools are – or can be – common (e.g. software development toolset, Oracle ERP, etc.).
  • Cultivate a relationship with the GE Aerospace cyber security organization in order to ensure strong connectivity and interaction between the organizations, proactive risk management, and controls compliance.
  • Own and manage the partner relationships, contacts, and license administration for third-party software used internally and those embedded in commercial software offerings as well as contingent worker support.
  • Own all budget and financial forecasting activities, ensuring strong controllership and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Technical Product Management or IT
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

The salary range for this position is $ $127,900-$213,200 USD . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
