About the Role 

Glassdoor is looking for a Senior Director of Diversity, Equity, and  Inclusion to join our People Team. The Senior Director will define objectives and drive the DEI strategy for Glassdoor. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the ideal person will be a team player with a proven ability to execute as needed. The Senior Director, DEI will guide and nurture a team of DEI professionals and have the oversight of Glassdoor’s ERGs and other groups with the mandate to align strategy, resources, and decision-making.

What You’ll Do 

  • Revolutionize and take ownership of the Inclusion and Diversity Strategy.
  • Identify areas of strength and uncover opportunities for even greater impact, integrating them into key initiatives such as the People team roadmap, goals, and multi-year priorities.
  • Lead and Support DEI Initiatives. As a leader in our organization, you will provide guidance and support for DEI initiatives and events across our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Your responsibility will be to strike a balance between education, awareness, and the execution of tactical operations, ensuring meaningful progress in our journey toward an inclusive and diverse workplace.
  • Collaboration is key, as you will partner with our broader People and Employee Experience teams to infuse the essential concepts of equity, allyship, inclusion, and diversity into existing talent management programs, change management initiatives, learning and development efforts, recruitment strategies, policies, and practices.
  • Identify practical and robust solutions to gather employee sentiment across our organization. 
  • Advocate for Inclusion and Diversity. In collaboration with our Talent & Development team, you will spearhead the creation of programs that enhance the capabilities of our People Manager community. These programs will foster a culture of inclusion and equity, offering scalable and inclusive initiatives that empower all employees.
  • Ensure Pay Equity and Compliance.
  • Working alongside Legal, Total Rewards, and People Operations, you will facilitate and oversee pay equity studies, as well as develop effective resolution strategies when necessary. Ensuring fairness and compliance will be central to your responsibilities.
  • Provide Expertise and Thought Leadership. Your role extends beyond internal collaboration as you will also serve as an expert and thought leader in the field of DEI. You will provide strategic planning, coaching, education, and consultancy services to our Senior Leadership team, aligning DEI initiatives with key business outcomes.
  • Measure and Drive Accountability. Partnering with the People Operations Reporting & Analytics team, you will develop measurement tools to drive accountability and evaluate the effectiveness of our DEI initiatives. This includes owning and educating on Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) plans and maintaining ongoing communications around these initiatives.
  • Lead with Emotional Intelligence and Problem-Solving Skills. As a highly credible and objective leader, you will facilitate complex problem-solving processes with multiple audiences, leveraging your high emotional intelligence (EQ) and subject matter expertise. During crisis situations and matters of significance that may carry reputational or brand risk, you will effectively diffuse conflicts.
  • Influence Engagement Strategy and Brand Reputation. Your DEI expertise and perspective will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing our enterprise engagement strategy, employee value proposition, and other measurement tools and processes. Elevate Glassdoor as an employer in the area of DEI, increasing our visibility through strategic external partnerships, engagements, and other channels.
  • Manage Budget and Team Effectively. You will be responsible for planning and managing the DEI budget and budget process for ERGs and related initiatives. Additionally, you will demonstrate a proven ability to showcase the return on investment (ROI).
