Job Description
BASIC DESCRIPTION:
This position will assist the Warehouse Manager in making decisions regarding customers, business, and employee needs. The qualified individual must have strong decision-making skills and a positive attitude with the ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead a team of up to 7 employees
- Make team decisions that will result in the best quality, cost, and delivery.
- Facilitate/drive E.I. (Employee Involvement) and problem solving.
- Driving team and business unit goals.
- Scheduling of production.
- Coordinating manpower, and vacation coverage to meet production needs.
- Conflict resolution under Warehouse Manager guidance.
- Monitoring attendance, breaks, and identification of problem patterns.
- Drive efficiency improvements with support of Warehouse Manager.
- Manage team performance and perform annual reviews.
- Provide constructive feedback to management regarding business environment.
- Involvement in both new and agency employee hiring, training, and cross training.
- Other tasks functions as deemed necessary by Warehouse Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree or in pursuit of Associates degree preferred.
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing required.
- Previous line lead and or team lead experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and coach a group of team members to achieve company, business unit, and team goals.
- Successful record of building positive relationships with co-workers and management.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
- Commitment to teamwork.
- Self-Accountable, Self-Disciplined, and reliable nature.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Previous training experience.
- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Promote and model safety and quality
- MRD experience and material ordering preferred.
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and bill of material.
- Good manual dexterity required.
- Overtime may be required, including weekends.
- Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per day and lift up to 50lbs.
