Shipping/Warehouse Manager

Coordinates the activities of the Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving) at the Bickel’s, York, PA facility to ensure accurate record keeping of inventory, efficient storage and timely shipping of product.

Supervises: Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving)

1. Coordinates the personnel and activities of the Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving) functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.
2. Communicates with appropriate personnel to ensure optimum customer service as well as accurate and timely exchange of information.
3. Has the ability to bring strong leadership skills to the team and make decisions.
4. Assists in the training of new personnel in the Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving) areas.
5. Assists with the time management of employees and loading orders.
6. Assists in administering Company policies and plant rules in order to promote effective employee relations and efficient performance.
7. Required to maintain and have forklift experience.
8. Required to have attention to details; making sure you are following customer BOL request.
9. Responsible for ensuring the following safety requirements are met:
10. Conducting safety orientation and safety training of employees
11. Enforcing safe work practices
12. Correcting unsafe conditions
13. Preventing lingering unsafe and unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards
14. Investigating workplace accidents
15. Coordinates the receiving of materials and finished goods and maintains appropriate logs
16. Responsible for the finished goods rotation: first in first out.
17. Ensures adherence to all Plant, Regulatory and Corporate policies
18. Reviews and approvals of all subordinate employee’s timecards on a weekly basis prior to submission to payroll
19. Responsible for administration of food safety, legality, and quality/policies/procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as, but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, government guidelines/requirements, pre-requisite programs, quality systems, etc.
20. Assist in keeping operations up to date with new techniques and/or developments within the areas of Inventory, Warehousing (Shipping & Receiving) functions
21. Assists with implementing cost saving projects to increase efficiency and performance
22. Assists with monthly cycle counts and data entry
23. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
