Kline + Company, a leading advisory and market research firm, is seeking an experienced B2B Marketing Manager to lead the firm’s marketing for its Chemicals practice, which specializes in agrochemicals, HPC and food ingredients. In this position, you will work with the Chemicals practice leaders to understand business unit strategy, prioritize goals, set objectives, and define what success looks like. You will work with marketing operations on quarterly timelines, execution and most importantly be the liaison with the industry practices and corporate marketing.
The ideal candidate is a B2B marketing expert with experience working in the management consulting or market research industry. Experience in chemicals or other industrial sectors would be a plus but is not essential. You will report to the Vice President of Chemicals practice and have dotted line reporting to the Head of Corporate Marketing. This role will give you the opportunity to be very impactful to the entire practice.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute B2B marketing plans for Kline’s Chemical’s practice.
- Collaborate with practice leaders on goals, objectives, and performance targets
- Partner with the sales team to understand client base and priorities
- Create, contribute, and manage sales enablement efforts including the development of collateral, toolkits, case studies, videos, presentations, and execution of industry events.
- Coordinate the creation of thought leadership content with practice subject matter experts including articles, whitepaper editing, podcasts and digital downloads
- Set press/trade relations strategy and plan
- Ensure sector marketing plans and all activities support the company’s global marketing objectives and are aligned with brand standards, firm messaging, and positioning
- Collaborate with practice business development managers and our corporate demand generation specialist to develop and optimize the lead pipeline
- Provide general marketing program management support across the company and provide ideas for improvement in marketing processes
- Set metrics, analyze performance data and report on marketing activities to optimize campaigns and strategies.
Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years integrated marketing experience in a B2B firm (e.g., professional services, publishing, marketing agency)
- Experience developing, executing and reporting on B2B marketing plans
- Strong project management with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Proficient in Pardot, Salesforce or other CRM
- Solid experience with inbound marketing, Account Based Marketing and event strategy.
- Ability to convert conceptual ideas and business concepts into compelling, marketable programs that support the practices’ goals
- High energy; ability to collaborate, build strong relationships across the organization, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Monday.com, basecamp, Wrike or other marketing project management software.
- English proficiency required. Working proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Chemicals or Chemical Engineering degree a plus.
