Description

Sets the clinical tone, models professionalism, and leads the teams for the programs assigned.

The position provides supervision to intern, associate, or trainee MFT, AMFT, LCSW, ACSW or PCCs. Also ensures that contractual requirements are adhered to regarding client care. Also trains, peer support specialists, refers, consults, and coordinates mental health services in an empathic and responsive manner on behalf of clients and the community in general.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor. 

· Fosters positive relationships with supervisees, staff and volunteers.

· Adheres to work scope for each program.

· Collaborates with the Senior Clinical Director to ensure quality mental health service delivery. 

· Monitors charts for service provision in Quality Assurance tasks.

· Assures compliance with Confidentiality and HIPPA Privacy Rules.

· Assists with planning, conducting, and documenting staff meetings.

· Conduct staff training related to mental health documentation and services, including trauma informed services and social determinants. 

· Participates in interviewing job candidates for mental health services, and recommends hiring to the Clinical Senior Director. 

Supervision of all clinical aspects of assigned clinic(s)/program(s) include the following: 

a. Ensures staff compliance with Standards and Practices as delineated by the Federal, State and County regulations and Department of Behavioral Health Outpatient Charting Standards and any other requirements. 

b. Collaborates with the Director of Training to ensure staff receives adequate clinical training (including charting) both on site and from other resources. 

c. Signs off on all required charting in data base systems. 

d. Ensures that all clinical staff maintain the highest ethical standards. 

e. Assists the Clinic Director and Director of Compliance in ensuring that staff maintain records and statistics according to agency and program requirements.

f. Completes Annual Reviews for staff working under position.

g. Leads and supports staff in consistently fulfilling performance goals. 

h. Oversees crisis intervention and response. 

i. Participates in all required meetings, training etc. as assigned.

j. Plans, conducts, and documents weekly Clinical Supervision meetings, staff meetings, and other program supervision meetings. 

k. Meets all criteria listed under the Education/Experience section below. 

Note: This position may be called upon, at times, for crisis, to provide necessary client care, or to accomplish the goals and objectives of the agency.
