Senior IT Systems Engineer - Classified Programs

Anduril is seeking a Senior System Engineer to directly support our most sensitive programs. You will be a part of the team building and maintaining the critical classified infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the world’s best engineers and cybersecurity professionals as you help to implement cutting edge systems. You will work directly to support systems deployed across the globe in support of national security missions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, architect and deploy clustered server infrastructure, including High Performance Compute (HPC) and GPU clusters
• Design and scale in an off site co-located datacenter
• Configure large scale storage platforms in the 100s of TB, PB of data
• Quote and procure hardware from hardware vendors
• Collaborate closely with engineering requirements and solution from start to finish
• Ability to deploy in cloud environments (AWS and Azure)
• Directly assist with installation and setup of systems hardware from bare metal to platform base operating system
• Manage and monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions proactively
• Ensure the security and integrity of server infrastructure through regular audits and proactive measures
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers
• Develop and implement automation scripts using Python and Ansible
• Support monitoring of pods deployed in a Kubernetes environment
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring of team members

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing Classified IT enterprise systems and solutions at manufacturing companies (Aerospace & Defense industry preferred).
• Proven expertise in one or more of the following, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows (10, 11, Server 2019, 2022), VMware (VxRail), Azure or AWS cloud services
• Experience performing Database Cloning, Backups, Restoring, Recovery, and Monitoring
• Experience implementing role-based access control concepts (e. g. SE Linux extensions to RHEL, PitBull, AppArmor, and Sentris)
• Programming ability in one or more of the general scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash, Rust, etc)
• Experience in DevOps or SRE type roles
• Must possess and be able to maintain a U.S. TS Security clearance.

US Salary Range$122,000—$183,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
